Snow at the Abrahams House!!

We got snow last night!! It almost never snows as far south as we are, but last night we got about 6 inches!! (I measured this morning. :-) So technically it isn't Aiden's 1st snow because it snowed while we were in Ohio last November, but this is the first snow at our house. We haven't seen this much snow since we've lived here. We got out a snapped a couple of pictures this morning after breakfast. My awesome husband made coffee and french toast!! (Thanks Big Daddy for teaching Joel how to make a great breakfast!) Aiden had a yummy breakfast too of rice cereal and applesauce. Then we bundled up and headed for the snow. It was fun but we didn't stay out long because it was too cold for the little man. Right now I'm typing this at my kitchen table and just looking out at God's beautiful world!!We had a crazy week, but I'm happy to report that Joel survived his midterm and slowly getting rid of his nasty bad cold. (Please pray Aiden & I don't get it...) Joel felt pretty confident about his test so we are super happy about that. Aiden and I headed up to Nashville last Thursday to give him so study time before his test. Aiden is making a lot of noise these days. :-) It was 70 degrees just a couple of days ago. Crazy Tennessee weather for you. My dad has moved into his new house and I helped unload some boxes. However it might take several more visits up there. (Pops needs some organizational help....) So, here is the Aiden update.... we went to the doctor last week for his 6 month appointment and he is very healthy. He weighed 17.7 and was 27 inches long. He was in the 50% for weight and 70% for height. Joel seemed happy about the height part. He isn't crawling yet, but is scooting around on his tummy. Mostly in a circle. He is also sitting up by himself now pretty well. He will get tired and topple over, but it doesn't seem to bother him. He is going though a phase right now where if he sees you, that means you should be holding him and he gets angry if you don't pick him up.... hard on the mama.He is eating baby food everyday now. It is crazy that he is old enough to do that. So far he has had rice cereal, applesauce, carrots and sweet potatoes. His favorite so far are the sweet potatoes. He loves them!! The doc said to introduce new foods every 3 days or so, more so I'll know if he is allergic to anything. I was kinda sad when she told me told wait on bananas until he's around 1. Chris is very allergic to them and she (as well as Dr. Sears, my go to doc in a pinch) says that if either of the parents or parents sidlings have an allergy you should wait until your baby is around 1 to give it to them. Bananas are just so easy for babies to eat!! I bought him some pears, peaches, green beans, peas, and squash so I suppose we'll try maybe the peas next. We need to get something green in there somewhere.Aiden is also a big daddy's boy. When he hears Joel coming in from work he gets really excited and his whole body shakes. It is really cute. I have started taking him to music classes every week and he loves it. It is also helping me learn new songs to sing to him. His favorite by far is still You are my Sunshine. I have sang that to him since he was born.I haven't taken his 6 month pictures yet, but they will be coming soon. For now check out the ones from the past two weeks!! Enjoy and more to come from us.....
